A Cut Above the Rest for CKI

27th November 2014

To expand on its existing range of innovative products, Carl Kammerling International has introduced a new series of Sheet Steel Holesaws, designed to quickly and smoothly cut through sheet steel, as well as a Quick Change Holesaw Arbor, to speed up the interchange of holesaws for tradesmen.

The ranges are the latest to be developed in collaboration with Carl Kammerling’s panel of professional tradesmen, meaning they directly respond to the issues faced by electricians.

The Sheet Steel Holesaws are built for speed and durability, made from a thin material for precise, smooth and fast cutting, with the teeth at a constant eight per inch, leading to a guaranteed clean-cut hole. Conveniently, the product features an ejector spring, which automatically removes the ‘slug’ left after the cut.

Manufactured from eight per cent cobalt steel, the slimline design reduces frictional heat build up, while the flared shoulders prevent any potential damage to inner components of electrical cabinets, resulting in a product that is faster, smoother and tougher than standard holesaws.

The new range comprises six sizes of holesaw, with a convenient three piece set available containing the most popular sizes and a replacement pilot drill, common to all sizes.

The Quick Change Holesaw Arbor has a durable metal construction and features a rapid release system, giving an easy and hassle free way to switch between holesaws in seconds. The chuck style arbor locks on to adapters screwed into the holesaw allowing very quick interchange. The universal fitting means it is compatible with most brands of holesaws, ranging from 16-152mm.

A handy quick-change arbor kit is also available, containing a quick-change arbor with one small and one large adapter to fit all sizes of holesaws, with separate adaptors also available.

Product highlighter cards and demonstration videos are also available for in-store displays, providing retailers with eye-catching merchandising solutions to help drive sales.

Graham Godfrey, brand manager, commented: “These ranges have developed in collaboration with our panel of professional tradesmen, meaning they are fine tuned to perfectly fit the requirements of end users.

“Built for speed and durability, both tools are designed to increase efficiency and give a higher quality finish than is available using traditional methods.”

Feedback from end-users has been hugely positive, with one electrician commenting: “Seriously fast, seriously smooth, these holesaws are the real deal”, serving as testament to the benefits of the new ranges.
