Dual Row and Flush Consumer Units from Hager

14th April 2016

Here at Hager we’re always listening to our customers. Thanks to your feedback and in response to popular demand, we have enhanced our Design 10 and 30 boards.

We have now launched our new ‘Flush Design 10 Consumer Unit’ and the ‘Dual Row Design 10 and 30 boards’.

Our Flush Design 10 unit is ideal for installing in limited living space. The board sits flush on the wall, rather than protruding out, and provides a more aesthetically pleasing look.

Hager’s Duel Row consumer units have been designed for buildings with multiple circuits where a single row won’t be enough to accommodate the needs of the install.

So what new features can you expect?

Design 10 Flush Consumer Unit

Conforming to Amendment 3 of the wiring regulations, the Design 10 Flush Consumer Unit has been designed specifically for installation in solid or hollow walls.

The board comes supplied with a removable frame, allowing the back box to be installed as a first fix whilst the terminals and devices can be easily removed to prevent contamination from building materials.

The protrusion of devices can be adjusted via flanges, which sit on the finished surface of the wall. Helping to ensure that they always protrude through the front cover a uniform amount, and extra support has also been provided for the full metal DIN rail. Lastly, a cable clamp is supplied as standard. These are just some of the great new features included to help ease your install.

With cable clamps provided as standard, these are some of the new features we’re adding to help ease your install.

These enhanced units will be available in sizes 4,5,6 & 7 to accommodate 12-22 devices depending on their size (See specifications below for details).

Design 10 and 30 Dual Row Consumer Units

In a new sleek two row metal board, our Design 10 and 30 Dual Row consumer units have been designed to accommodate large numbers of outgoing ways but with limited space in mind, and have open access between the two rows allowing you to neatly feed and secure your cabling routes.

Our Dual Row consumer units are available with a number of different arrangements, such as switch disconnector incomer, split load RCCB protected boards and multi-tariff boards for installations where electric heating is from one supply and the rest of the installation is from another.

Our improved Dual Row consumer units are available in sizes 3,4,5 & 7 to accommodate 24 to 44 devices (See specifications below for details).

Including what you loved before…

Our Design 10 and 30 Dual Row consumer units come with the same features you loved from the original single row boards.

All of our Design range boards come complete with grommet strips and still maintain the maximum cable space even when a Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent (RCBO) is fitted. Multiple fixing points, a full metal DIN rail and feature the rectangular knockouts in the top and bottom of the board to enable easy entry of cables for cable trunking.

For Design 30, a health and safety lock, cable clamp, rear cable protection plate, and a ‘locate and hold’ cover help to make the installation of the unit as simple, if not easier, than the previous insulated consumer units.
