New Aico carbon monoxide alarm with digital display
The Ei208DW from Aico Ltd. is a unique Lithium battery powered Carbon Monoxide
(CO) alarm that features a large LCD display to provide residents with detailed information and instruction messages for a swift, accurate response to CO leaks.
This quality, cost-effective alarm has been designed with a sophisticated, highly reliable CO sensor (used across all Aico CO alarms and proven in thousands of applications), which is pre-calibrated and tested in CO gas to ensure accuracy.
When CO is detected, the alarm sounds , the red alarm light flashes and the display provides information on the level of CO present and the action to take.
When lower levels of CO are detected, the alarm will display VENTILATE. If the low level continues for a period of time, the display will change to EVACUATE and the alarm will sound before there is a risk to occupants. When higher levels are present the alarm will sound and EVACUATE is displayed straight away.
In addition to these warning messages, the large, clear display also provides intuitive icons and status messages, such as an end of life indicator.
Unlike many CO alarms currently available, the new Aico CO alarm is supplied with a sealed in Lithium battery soldered into the alarm. This overcomes the problem of battery removal by the resident and being Lithium (rather than standard AA batteries), it cannot be used to replace batteries in other household devices. It features a pre-alarm light for early warning of CO, a memory feature which enables the user to tell if CO has been detected during a period of absence and a loud distinctive alarm sound to differentiate it from smoke alarms.
The Aico CO alarm with digital display comes in a compact, modern design with a large Test button to make testing the alarm easier than ever before. With its simple twist on mounting base which offers numerous fixing options, it is easily installed to ceiling or walls.
Where interconnection to other alarms is required, the CO alarm can be easily fitted with a RadioLINK plug-in module at any time. Using sophisticated RF technology, RadioLINK Professional allows Aico Fire and CO alarms to communicate, without the cost and disruption of hard wiring. When one unit goes into alarm, all the alarms interconnected on the system will sound, ensuring the alarm is heard wherever the occupant is in the property. When interlinking CO and Fire alarms on the same system, an Aico Alarm Control Switch should be used to identify the source of the alarm - Smoke or CO.
In addition to the LCD display model, Aico also offers a Lithium battery powered standard model and a RadioLINK Professional model, in addition to mains powered CO alarms. All alarms are Kitemarked to BS EN 50291and come complete with a five year guarantee.
